The Research Ethics Online System (EthOS) was launched on July 25, 2024 for the submission of new study protocols. Please review Getting Started and other resources on this hub before accessing the system.

Last updated: November 14

It’s just over three months since we launched EthOS! Share your feedback so far using our EthOS Adoption Survey before December 6.

On November 11, some minor enhancements were released to EthOS to improve the user experience. The list of updates includes a new Co-Investigator permission role, updated FAQ and help menu text, additional built-in guidance, and a handful of configuration changes to improve functionality or workflow. The issue affecting the study closure subform for legacy protocols has been addressed. Any users waiting to close their legacy studies can now proceed; consult the training material on creating a closure subform if needed.

The updates will not impact your saved work or require you to resubmit your application.

Consult the Form Update Message training material for all guidance on applying the update.

Continue to leverage the EthOS Hub user materials and other help options:  EthOS FAQs, user guides, and weekly Research Ethics brown-bag drop in sessions. As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to RAIMSSupport@uoguelph.ca with any and all questions.

EthOS (Ethics Online System) is an easy-to-use online system that helps streamline the submission, review and management of research ethics applications.  Back to the Human Participants home page.
