Honey bees collecting their pollen baskets on Solidago canadensis (a very important native plant for insect food). This picture was taken in an ALUS tall grass prairie on a farm. This research project is conducted by the MacDougall Ecology lab where insect surveys take place on agroecosystems to measure insect ecosystem services.
