University of Guelph Confirmation for Research Aiming to Advance Sensitive Technology Research Areas

File:
PDF icon UofGConfirmationResearchAimingAdvanceSensitiveTechnologyResearchAreas.pdf
  • The policy on Sensitive Technology Research and Affiliations of Concern (STRAC) requires that researchers with a named role in the project complete a STRAC Attestation Form which is to be submitted with the funding application. The policy also requires that all team members, including those that don't have a named role, comply with policy, even they don't need to complete an Attestation.
    • Researchers with named roles in the grant application: include, but are not limited to, the Applicant, the Co-applicant, and the Collaborator, as defined by each granting agency.
    • Team members without a named role: other researchers involved in activities supported by the grant, such as highly qualified personnel (HQP), co-authors, or informal collaborators who may or may not be identified in the grant application.
  • This Confirmation can be used internally at the University of Guelph as a tool to confirm that team members who are not required to complete an Attestation are still in compliance with the STRAC policy.
  • The lead applicant should collect and save all University of Guelph Confirmations for future reference as read only files.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: This form is not a replacement for the required Attestations that must be submitted to the funding agencies.
