White Matter Connections in a Dog Brain

Magnetic resonance image (MRI) of a dog brain. A specific MRI sequence called diffusion tensor imaging was used to obtain raw data. Regions of the white matter were hand-selected and brain connectivity patterns were predicted. Research was conducted to determine if brain connectivity varied between healthy dogs and dogs with idiopathic epilepsy. I created this image using OVC's offline MRI workstation and photographed it using an iPhone.
