Organic Rings

The image shows circular organic nanoparticles enclosing plant-derived oils, natural secondary metabolites that plants utilize for protection against insects and microbes. Our Agri-food engineering lab is doing research on organic nanoparticles as a green alternative to chemical pesticides. This research aims to combat agricultural diseases, promoting sustainability without environmental harm. The organic nanoparticles, inspired by nature's defenses, offer a promising avenue for eco-friendly pest control in agriculture.
