Description
The University of Guelph invites expressions of interest (EoI)s and/or recommendations for nominations to the Royal Society of Canada New Scholars. The Royal Society of Canada seeks scholars who demonstrate "excellence, which is understood to encompass the goals of diversity and inclusivity to which the RSC is committed, and to which the membership of the College is expected to exemplify in terms of discipline, gender, ethno-racial diversity, Aboriginality, and official languages.". EoIs/recommendations will be first adjudicated within the College. Each College may put forward two recommendations for nomination. The University will submit up to three nominations to the Royal Society of Canada on March 8, 2018.
Eligibility
- Nominees must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of nomination
- Candidates must be no more than 15 years from the conferral of the PhD or equivalent qualification.
