Description

The College of Engineering and Physical Sciences in collaboration with the Ontario Veterinary College, would like to invite researchers from across the University to attend a two-part workshop series on EDI for NSERC Discovery Grant applications. These workshops are intended to provide guidance and tips for integrating EDI considerations in research programs and as part of NSERC Discovery applications.

Part One will focus on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for HQP training plans. Agenda:

• Welcome and introduction
• Review of NSERC Discovery Grant HQP sections with EDI components
• Background on EDI in HQP recruitment, training, environment
• Breakout rooms and group discussions

Part Two will focus on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Research Design/Proposal and other sections. Agenda:

• Welcome and introduction
• Review of applicable NSERC Discovery Grant sections
• Background on EDI in research design
• Breakout rooms and group discussions

These sessions are hosted by the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences in collaboration with the Ontario Veterinary College with support from the College of Biological Science, College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics,  the Ontario Agricultural College and the Research Services Office.
