Description

Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute has announced a call for applications for Faculty Training and Internationalization program (FTI) from faculty members in all disciplines.  This program aims at capacity building of faculty members as well as internationalization of curriculum and teaching methodologies in the participating institutions. The FTI grant will allow the Canadian and Indian faculty members to travel to universities of alternate countries upon invitation to work on receiving/delivering capacity building training on areas such as: teaching-learning pedagogy, course or curriculum development or any other areas identified by the host institutions. The duration for such faculty mobility would be between 4 to 6 weeks. 

Eligibility

Full-time faculty member or professor emeritus and must be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada. A letter of invitation from the host institution is required. 

Funding Availability

 $5,000 CAD. The grant includes a round-trip economy class airfare from Canada to the city of affiliated institutions in India and a weekly/monthly stipend as per the travel policy of the Institute.

Project Duration

Project implementation period starts from November 15, 2016 and ends on September 30, 2017.
