Program Guidelines

Description

The Simons Foundation’s mathematics and Physics Division invites applications for its new  targeted grants in MPS. This program is intended to support high-risk projects of exceptional premise and scientific importance on a case-by-case basis. 

Eligibility

Faculty in mathematics and physical sciences.

Funding Availability

Not specified. The funding provided is flexible depending on the type of support requested in the proposal.

20%

Project Duration

Funding provided for up to 5 years.

Letter of Intent

Rolling Deadline

Beginning  August 1, 2015. Applicants will be notified within 2 months of the LOI submission.   Applicant submits LOI through ProposalCENTRAL.  See application instructions and requirements below. Note that new applicants and their institutions must register. Please notify the Office of Research 4 weeks in advance of an LOI.  PI submits LOI within one week of when they expect to submit. 

Internal Deadline

If invited to apply, PI submits signed OR-5 and full application to: Research.Services@uoguelph.ca one week in advance of the external deadline.
