Description
As you may know, NSERC has begun a third round of community engagement visits to provide researchers, students, professors, administrators and other stakeholders an opportunity to learn more about some recent programs and policy development. The webinars serve as a platform for the community to ask questions and seek more information from some of NSERC’s grants and scholarships experts. Some of the topics include:
- Discovery Research (update on Federal Budget, NSERC strategic plan, program news, etc.); Scholarships and Fellowships (update on post-doctoral fellowships and Collaborative Research and Training Experience Program);
- Women in Science and Engineering (update on new Chairs for Women in Science and Engineering as well as other initiatives);
- Policies and guidelines – (update on a variety of issues ranging from grant funding extensions to Open Access).

In addition to the Engagement visit, NSERC will host dedicated webinars to walk participants through the Research Portal and the NSERC Common CV (CCV), and to provide practical tips for using the new systems. You can visit our Connect Page for more details.
