Description

The NATO Innovation Challenge is seeking innovative solutions to identify, warn, assess and manage biological threats to protect NATO forces, Allies and civilian entities. Solutions can include any combination of methodologies, concepts, techniques and technologies.

The purpose of the NATO Innovation Challenge is to tap into the minds of innovative people and teams to find more effective and efficient ways for NATO, and other response organizations, to ensure security and respond to crisis situations. Relevant solutions could support the development of future NATO concepts, doctrine, standards, requirements, capability development, and will get stage-time at NATO-wide events. 

Areas of focus include:

  • Early warning systems and detection measures including identifying the population at risk / initial assessment, analyzing and consultation.
  • Surveillance including health control measures.
  • Interoperability between e.g. military, civilian health and research institutions, state and local management officials, surveillance analysts.
  • Water decontamination.

Eligibility

The NATO Innovation Challenge is looking for entrepreneurs, designers, thinkers, engineers, scientists, coders, and innovators. 
You may participate as an individual or as part of an industry or academia. If you are participating as a team, each member must register separately.

Prize

There will be a prize of $8,500 for winning this competition.
