Mitacs Accelerate Special Calls
Description
For a limited time (while quantities last), Mitacs is offering special funding for Accelerate projects that fall within four sectors:
- Agriculture, Agri-Food and Aquaculture
- Biomanufacturing, Biotechnology and Life & Health Sciences
- Digital (Artificial Intelligence, Quantum and Information & Communications Technology)
- Clean Technology
Under this special funding offer, each eligible internship unit will require a partner contribution of $5,000 (instead of the standard $7,500) with $10,000 coming from Mitacs. Ineligible internship units of $15,000 will require the standard partner contribution of $7,500.
Please review the guidelines outlined below:
- Funding is limited; applications will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis until February 9, 2024, or while quantities last.
- All applications must include named interns to be considered. Maximum of 6 (six) discounted internship units per named intern at the time of submission; standard funding applies for any unnamed (TBD) interns.
- Post-submission and in-project changes are permitted for the discounted and standard funding units.
- Total limit of 50IUs per project.
- Only available under the Accelerate program, excluding Accelerate International and NSERC Alliance Joint Applications.
- Offer is available for new submissions only.

Maximum Project Value
Mitacs Accelerate special funding offer is available on eligible internship units for a limited time for a total limit of 50 internship units. Named interns are eligible for up to 6 internship units at the discounted rate. Project Duration

If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.
