Description
Douglas R. Colton Medal recognizes excellence in:
- research leading to new understanding and novel developments in one or more microsystems or nanotechnologies including photonics/optoelectronics, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), nanoelectronics, microelectronics, microfluidics, nano-materials, and embedded software; and/or
- the application of microsystems and/or nanotechnology in Canada
Eligibility
Candidates for the award may be faculty, students or alumni who have successfully completed a Master's or PhD degree in a Canadian university within the previous three calendar years.
Prize
Medal and cash award of $4,500.
Special Notes
The University of Guelph may only submit one nomination per year. Therefore, nominations will be adjudicated first at the College level, and second at the University level.
